Well, these past 2 weeks have been busy. I have been on a 2 day scrapbooking trek (in my town, but it was all day events). I learned a trick that some might think was obvious, but for me was different. A lady sitting at my table was using a edge punch and was punching her pictures. I had never punched pictures, as I was even leary about cutting them. But I tried a couple of her punches and loved it! So, of course Michael's was having a sale, so I went and bought 2 of them (same ones I used at the crop). I had never even used an edge punch. So, I am now using these. They are cool.
The other thing I am into is the chipboard albums. I have made one with the letters of my last name (each one on a different page), a book album, and others. I won't bore you with all the pictures, but my sister and I have some cool ideas to use with them.
I came down to my aunt's a coupld days ago and my sister and I did some scrapbooking. I have her hooked now and next it will be my mom and other sister. Adventures to come.
This is a blog where I can share some things I have been learning, both in my Stampin Club and on my own. Let's share our creativity here!

November Blog Hop Day 4
It is the last day of our Hop. We have seen some creative bags, tags, albums, and other projects. I decided to make some tags for this last day. I used tags you can purchase in the stores and then ink stained them on both sides. After adhering a picture to the tag, I used silver or white Stickles to make either the angels wings, Santa's beard, or the snow shine. It sure makes a difference in the tags.

So on to the hop. Time for the next hop at Paper Primper Altered Art. We are so glad you joined us! Our design team is going to show you some Christmas projects, all sponsored by Paper Primper Altered Art. Be prepared to see some beautiful paper bag albums, cards, and other assorted Christmas items. Starting Tuesday, November 1 - Friday, November 4, each day we will have featured designers showcasing their styles. So be sure to join us each day and see what might inspire you! Let's get started.

Since today is my day, I have decided to make a paper bag album. I used paint, buttons, pictures, ribbon, and lots of beautiful Christmas paper. I tried something different -- I tore the paper. This is kind of scary to me because I am not used to doing that. But it was fun. I even took bits of paper and made my own design. Maybe I will do this again in future projects.
Be sure to join us each day and see what might inspire you! Let's get started.

LOVE in Tags
This past weekend I went to a Girlfriend's Getaway in St Louis. It was 3 days of scrapping, laughing, and card making. This is the second time I went to the event this year. I go with my friend Kathy and my daughter-in-law Megan. We stay up way too late, don't eat good, and make lots of items. We see how creative the other ladies in the room are and even take away some cool ideas. You also learn a few lessons.

Since tags are a big thing this year, I decided to make one for myself. I bought 4 tags that are still attached and used this. They are the large tags. I covered each with patterned paper (I used one color on one side and another one the other). Lesson 1 - be sure to cut out each tag's paper; do not use one continuous page. The paper will not bend gracefully. Then I used chipboard letters to make the word Love. Lesson 2 - make sure you have all the letters or you have to borrow from others (thanks Kathy!). The letters were then colored with Stampin Up colored pencils. I glued the letters on the tags. To embellish, I used sunglasses and dragonfly chipboard pieces I bought at Michaels for about 25 cents each. To finish it off, I put several pieces of ribbon in each. So I only learned 2 lessons, but, I will remember them!
